My beloved Student:

I said each day I will answer his, your, letterEditorial Note: See 164b.28.020 but complications of work hindered. Pardonez moi.

Your letter is characteristic, wit and adventure smile together, promise but decoy. Your many students and followers speak well for you. But dear one, if the plan you suggest were wise it would have had its birth in The Mother Church Manual, that is the law of our Gospel – and born of necessity to guide the Children of Christian Science.

When I started the Mother Church in BostonEditorial Note: Boston, Massachusetts I said this Church shall be a church without one By-law, each member must be a law to him or herself. But behold the result! Now I say to you and all – abide by the laws of The Mother Church and God will direct your path. Trust in Him and have no other trusts. Healing the sick is not the minimum but the maximum of Christian ScienceAs Written:C. S. Teaching is next to it. Lecturing are its limbs – Christianity is its Soul. Chose ye whom you will serveJosh 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. . I cannotAs Written:can not consent to a single new method outside our Manual. God bless you is my daily prayer, guide and direct you – is my hope.

With love always
M B G Eddy

N. B. I agree with you that the West is a better location for you than the East and I advise you to try it for a change.

Again,

Eddy.
