My dear Student

I think as I am in Washington we will use our influence to get you the appointment of Post Master G. Enclosed As Written: Inclosed please find some stamps and you shall have more directly. I think we shall stay here two weeks longer and then visit your cityEditorial Note: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania I have had parlor lectures for two evenings. About fifty have listened to me and expressed themselves well pleased Editors, Colonels, teachers one clergyman etc Be ready with comfortable quarters when we get there if it is not giving you much trouble as it takes time and money to wait to look up rooms We are situated here on Capitol Hill My desk as I sit writing seems on a line with the dome of the Capitol building There is between us and its grounds but the width of one street. We have a large front and back parlors price enormous; but we must with the Romans do as the Romans do This is the most beautiful city I was ever in love from husband
