You will find a notice of thanks in my last Mag. for Dr. Avery's beautiful vindication in "Mind and Nature"Editorial Note: This was a periodical being published at the time. Its full title was Mind in Nature: A Popular Journal of Psychical, Medical, and Scientific Information. Please find in this broken letter some scraps to read the members of the C.S.A.Editorial Note: This is not a reference to the Christian Scientist Association composed of students of Mary Baker Eddy, but refers to an association of Eddy’s students and other Christian Scientists in the greater Chicago area. -- This is one.

My students who have passed through the Normal class can graduate with a diploma in three years from their first entering the College, either as PhysiciansEditorial Note: Christian Science practitioners (healers) or as teachers or both. To receive this diploma it is requisite they follow the rules of the College.

1st. Their advertisements must be as Christian Scientists

2 Their lives must correspond to that

3rd Those they teach must not become teachers until they have passed through the Normal course of instruction

This last is important I am disgusted with the specimens of some teachers from the West with written private Mss. for their scholars

In haste Very truly
