Dear Anne:

Your letter last addressed to me was astounding! You, that once was calm and wise in your labors for Christian Science – writing like a maniac, more than a ScientistEditorial Note: Christian Scientist! You an idolater making a god of me! In my article, Personal ContagionEditorial Note: Mary Baker Eddy's article, "Personal Contagion" was published in the August 1906 issue of The Christian Science Journal and in the July 6, 1906, issue of the Christian Science Sentinel. It was later republished in The First Church of Christ, Scientist and Miscellany on pages 116-118., I denounced deeply just what you said in your letter you believe, namely – in turning to a person instead of divine Principle to help in time of need. O that you are blind to this sin seems to me incredible!

Now I shall not make an appointment to see you– and shall wait till you practice what your textbooksAs Written:text books S.& H.Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and the Bible teaches – before As Written: befor I ask you again to enter the field of labor in Christian Science —
