My beloved StudentsEditorial Note: Septimus J. Hanna and Camilla A. Hanna

Being excommunicated forever from the Mother Church on the grounds of such penalty as specified for wrongdoingAs Written:wrong doing towards the Mother is proper as the distinguishing sin. "Touch not min[*]Gap: letter.Reason: page edge. anointed and do my prophets no harmPs 105:15 Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. " The sin against our causeEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science. specified as aimed so vitally at your leader is the sin against Divine Science, the Holy Ghost, and is not forgiven in this worldMatt 12:31 ¶Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. Matt 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come. .

The distinguishment of sins and their penalty is requisite to abate the burdens laid on me and to stop the most dangerous manner of attacking our Cause

It by no means hinders the salvation of that sinner for Christian ScienceAs Written:C. S. does not make the church responsible for his salvation as Catholicism does. All the church of Christ, Scientist, has to fear from "forever" is that mother will be more slack than God to mark iniquity and so defend the church. I am so thankful to have the ManualEditorial Note: The Manual of The Mother Church compiled and corrected it needed it much When I have had the proofs I have had sometimes a half dozen dispatches and a dozen letters on hand to attend to in one hour besides reading proofs

With deep regret at your resignation of membership on the Boad of C.S. DirectorsEditorial Note: The Christian Science Board of Directors I ask can you not remain by giving up some other office I thought Mr. Metcalf was a member of our church The case stands ready for you to hold your office I hope you can do so.

With love
