I address you because I am in hopesAs Written:inhopes if you take Christ as an example (and what I learn in your book on Metaphysical ScienceEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures) I trust you do) I hope you will favor my niece whom As Written: whome I have through her request, this early in the spring come home to see her die – if it is a possible thing for you to cure her instantly or in a short time, or if you cannot & have a student that has the power through through Christ or otherwise to perform a cure you will be richly paid. We cannot feel to give her up and her poor Mother, as she says cannot, it seems to her live alone her Father died a few weeks since and she and her mother are the only ones left of the family – she is a very capable person of 40 and has been battling with cancers for six years – struggling, hoping to outlive her parents; well knowing they could not well live without her – she has had them drawn out of each breast by plasters at three or four different times, and the past winter has the last one taken out with the knife on account of the blood vessels making it unsafe to use the plaster – it healed readily; but in a short time it commenced growing again in the center of where the wound was – and she says no earthly power can save her – her age I suppose is against her – she has been sick at her stomach a great deal at times, and has for a long time and had brown spots on her face, and some on her neck – she is growing quite thin in flesh – her name is Ellen E. Willson of East Shoreham Addison Co. Vermont – I shall leave here and go to her tomorrow night, and remain until better, or as long as she lives – I left Milwaukee last Saturday for Vermont As Written: Vt _ O, how happy we should be if through you she could be cured – she don’t As Written: dont know of my writing you – but I write hoping there yet may be a chance to restore her – she is setting their business As Written: buisness in order with a great deal of calmness so there will not be as much for others to do, when she is gone – I am her Aunt Lucinda W.
