Helen A. Adams (b. Moore) (1846-1924) was born in Schenectady, New York,
and died in Oak Park, Illinois. In about 1866 she married Francis H. Adams. He was a
paymaster for the Northwestern railroad who later became the keeper of a general store
and then a capitalist. By 1880 the couple had moved to Illinois, first to Evanston, then
by 1900 to Cicero, and finally to Oak Park by 1910. Adams wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in
1886 to inquire about purchasing
Science and Health with Key to the
Scriptures.
