Alonzo "Lon" J. Albright (1840-1910) was born in Windham, Pennsylvania, and died in Paradise Township, Michigan. In 1861 he married Eunice M. Albright (b. Jennings) in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. From 1862 to 1865 he served in the American Civil War as a private in Company B, 143rd Pennsylvania Infantry, and then in Company E, 63rd New York Infantry. By 1874 Albright was living in Summit City, Michigan, where he was appointed Postmaster and worked as a farmer. By 1900 he lived in Paradise Township. His wife died in 1904, and later that year he became the second husband of Myra A. Porter (b. Bowerman). Albright was the brother-in-law of Mary E. Albright, a Christian Science practitioner and one of the founders of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Traverse City, Michigan. In 1887 she wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures to be sent to Albright.
