Lillian M. Allen (1869-1944) was born in Wallingford, Connecticut, and died in Washington, D.C. Allen grew up in Connecticut, and by 1900, the family had moved to Washington, D.C. In 1886, Allen's mother, Jane "Jennie" E. Allen, wrote to Mary Baker Eddy stating that they were interested in studying Christian Science. They both subsequently applied to take the Primary course at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College, however records do not reflect that either of them did so.
