Lillian M. Allen (1869-1944) was born in Wallingford, Connecticut, and
died in Washington, D.C. Allen grew up in Connecticut, and by 1900, the family had moved
to Washington, D.C. In 1886, Allen's mother, Jane "Jennie" E. Allen, wrote to Mary Baker
Eddy stating that they were interested in studying Christian Science. They both
subsequently applied to take the Primary course at the Massachusetts Metaphysical
College, however records do not reflect that either of them did so.
