W. C. (William Calvin) Ashley (1845-1934) was born in Rochester, Massachusetts, and died in Westport, Massachusetts. He was the older brother of Benjamin T. Ashley, who gave written testimony that contributed to Clara Elizabeth Choate's expulsion from the Church of Christ (Scientist) and Christian Scientist Association. There is no record of W. C. Ashley studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
