James Ashworth (1849-1933) was born in Bolton, Lancashire, England, and died in Howell, Missouri. He was a physician who practiced in Colorado and then Missouri, for over 50 years. In 1886 he wrote to Mary Baker Eddy, purchasing Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and other works by Eddy.
