Edith M. Bailey (1856-1949) was born in Athens, Maine, and died in Concord, New Hampshire. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, completing Primary (1885) and Normal (1886) classes. She and her husband, Edward A. Bailey, taught for a few years in Boston before they left the church in 1889. Eleven years later, in June 1900, Mrs. Bailey joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. She became listed in The Christian Science Journal as a Christian Science practitioner in September 1923, and was listed until her passing.
