Antoinette "Nettie" P. Belden (1849-1924) was born in Sandisfield, Massachusetts, and died in Albany, New York. By 1875, she was living with her family in New York. In May 1886 she studied Christian Science with her cousin, Dr. Prudence B. Saur, a Chicago physician and student of Bradford Sherman, before becoming a student of Mary Baker Eddy and completing the Normal class in February 1887. Although she continuously expressed an interest in completing the Primary class with Eddy, there is no record of her doing so. Belden joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on January 30, 1894.
