Rhoda A. Berry (b. Williams) (1814-1892) was born in Tully, New York, and
died in Holley, New York. In 1837 she married John Berry, and they settled in the
village of Holley, within the town of Murray, New York. Berry's husband worked as a
stone miller, then went into farming and became a corn broker. In 1861 he and a
son-in-law formed the produce business of Partridge & Berry. He also served as a
county assemblyman and trustee and secretary of the school board. In 1887 Berry's
acquaintance David J. Chaffee wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order a copy of
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures on her behalf.
