Sarah B. Bestor (1827-1922) was born in Connecticut and died in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1845, she married Horatio A. H. Bestor, who worked as a farmer. Bestor wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1886, expressing an interest in studying metaphysics. There is no record of her studying with Eddy or joining The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
