Ella F. Bickford (1859-1927) was born in De Pere, Wisconsin, and died in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She lived in De Pere with her parents until their deaths. Then, from 1918 on, she lived with her twin sister Emma F. Thrall (b. Bickford) and brother-in-law. The Thralls maintained a residence in Green Bay but spent part of each year in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Bickford resided with them in both locations. She married Robert Cunningham in St. Petersburg in 1922. After her husband's death she returned to Green Bay. In 1886 Bickford wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order the pamphlet Historical Sketch of Metaphysical Healing.
