Clementine C. Bigelow (1840-1921) was born in Westfield, New York, and
died in Rockton, Illinois. She married William W. Bigelow, a salesman. Bigelow expressed
interest in studying with Mary Baker Eddy, and in January 1887, Eddy noted that if
Bigelow took the Primary class with Sarah H. Crosse, Eddy would allow her into her
Normal class. Bigelow completed Eddy's Normal class in February 1887 and her Primary
class in May 1887. Bigelow was listed as a physician with a practice in Chicago,
Illinois, in
Polk's Medical Register and Directory of the United States
and Canada (1890). There is no record of Bigelow joining The First Church of
Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
