Peter G. Bradstreet (1821-1889) was a prominent ship builder and lifelong resident of Gardiner, Maine. In addition to owning a shipyard, he was an investor in the Maine Trust and Banking Co. and the Kennebec and Boston Steamboat Company. Bradstreet received several Christian Science treatments from Alice B. Poole, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's. Although he expressed an interest in Christian Science, there is no record of him studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
