Amelia "Emily" E. Brewer (b. Macomber) (1831-1913) was born and died in Keeseville, a village within the town of Chesterfield, New York. In 1853 she married George E. Brewer, a farmer, in Keeseville. By 1870 they had moved to Bethlehem, New York, where Brewer's husband worked as a druggist, but by 1880 they had returned to Chesterfield. After her husband's death in 1880, Brewer ran a boardinghouse. In 1887 she wrote a letter to Mary Baker Eddy to order a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
