George W. Butler (1845-1914) was born in Sanford, Maine, and died in Lynchburg, Virginia. He spent the majority of his life working as a foreman in shoe factories in Sanford and Lynchburg. There is no record of him studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
