Harriet Carr (1843-1913) was born in West Newbury, Massachusetts, and died in Lynn, Massachusetts. She married Oren Carr in Lynn on May 16, 1866. She was apparently one of the original members of the Church of Christ (Scientist), chartered in 1879. There are no records extant that show she studied with Mary Baker Eddy or was a member of the Christian Scientist Association. Her name disappears from the Church records shortly after it was chartered and it appears that she left the Christian Science movement at about that time.
