George W. Chesley (1840-1911) was born in Barnstead, New Hampshire, and
died in Concord, New Hampshire. He worked as a contractor and landscape artist. He
married Mary S. Chesley (b. Lane) in Gilmanton, New Hampshire, in 1865, and they lived
in Concord. Chesley laid out the grounds of Mary Baker Eddy's Pleasant View home and
worked as a caretaker there from 1892-1898.
