Jeanie A. Conger (b. Wolcott) (1862-1915) was born in Iowa and died in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. By 1870 she was living with her family in Oneida, Iowa, and in 1882 she married Herbert L. Conger, a traveling salesman, in Hazel Green, Iowa. They settled in Dubuque, Iowa, and by 1897 they relocated to Milwaukee. Jeanie studied Christian Science with Mary Baker Eddy's students Elizabeth Webster and Mary M. W. Adams. She then took the Normal class with Eddy's student Edward A. Kimball under the auspices of the Board of Education in June 1901. Jeanie was a member of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Dubuque, Iowa, and then joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on December 31, 1892. Herbert joined on June 11, 1901, and their son Louis H. Conger joined on June 9, 1908. Jeanie joined First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and Herbert joined Second Church of Christ, Scientist, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Both were practitioners listed in The Christian Science Journal, Jeanie from 1897 until 1915, and Herbert from 1906 until 1912. Jeanie also began teaching Christian Science in 1902.
