Julia S. Cook (1843-1896) was born in Massachusetts and died in Nebraska.
She married George S. Cook, a farmer, in Provincetown, Massachusetts, in 1866, and by
1880 they had moved to York, Nebraska. In 1886, her mother, Amanda M. Smith, wrote to
Mary Baker Eddy, asking Eddy to recommend a Christian Science practitioner to treat
Cook. There is no record of Cook studying with Eddy or joining The First Church of
Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
