Annette G. Coon (1855-1932) was born in Talcahuano, Chile, and died in
Westborough, Massachusetts. She worked as a dressmaker. Coon received Christian Science
treatment through prayer, as well as instruction, from Clara E. Choate, a student of
Mary Baker Eddy's. She later wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1885 about her wish to study at
the Massachusetts Metaphysical College. While there is no record of Coon studying with
Eddy, she was admitted as a member of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston,
Massachusetts, in 1894.
