May C. Cope (b. Eastman) (c. 1860-?) was born in Ohio and died in an unknown location. She worked as a school teacher and married Homer D. Cope, in Tipton, Iowa, in 1878. In 1880, they were living in Plainfield, New Jersey. They moved to Chicago, Illinois, around 1885, and by 1900, Cope was living in New York, New York, until at least 1915. Cope wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1886 to order a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Although she expressed an interest in studying with Eddy, there is no record of her doing so.
