R00007 Elizabeth M. Foote Denton (1826-1916) was born in Williamstown,
Massachusetts, and died in Wellesley, Massachusetts. She was the wife of William Denton
(1823-1883), a geologist, naturalist, and spiritualist. She co-authored several books
with her husband on the subject of psychometry--a form of extrasensory perception
whereby a person claims to learn the history of an object by making physical contact
with it.
