She was introduced to Christian Science after one of her sisters received Christian Science treatment through prayer from Fannie M. Silsbee, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's. Although she expressed an interest in Christian Science, there is no record of her studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
