Lizzie S. Eaton (1841-1915) was born in Norridgewock, Maine, and died in Oakes, North Dakota. She and her husband, Hamlin F. Eaton, taught at the Eaton Family School in Norridgewock. Lizzie S. Eaton was also an artist and she drew a crayon portrait of Mary Baker Eddy in about 1881, which Eddy hung on the wall of her bedroom at Pleasant View. The Eatons sold their interest in the school in 1882 and removed to Oakes, North Dakota, where they owned and managed a livestock ranch.
