Emma E. Eberman (b. Hamilton) (c. 1837-1897) was born in Ohio and died in Chicago, Illinois. In 1858 she married Daniel P. Eberman in Akron, Ohio. Over his career he was a wholesale grocer, a book and stationery dealer, and a banker. By 1870 they had moved to Cleveland, Ohio; by 1880 to New York, New York; and by 1884 to Chicago. In 1884 Eberman wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order a subscription to The Christian Science Journal and to inquire about terms for selling Eddy's written works and procuring additional subscribers to the Journal. According to an 1885 testimonial published in the Journal, Eberman had a Christian Science healing practice in Chicago at that time.
