Laura Belle Edwards (b. Broughton) (1857-1891) was born in New York and died in Goshen, Indiana. She moved to Goshen when she was a child and married Edward W. Edwards, a physician, there in 1889. Edwards wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1887 after reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. She was interested in studying at the Massachusetts Metaphysical College, however there is no record of her doing so. Starting in 1890, the Edwards and their entire household of six, including their daughter Grace, Edwards' parents, and cousin, all passed away from tuberculosis within 18 months.
