William A. Ernst (1820-1896) was born in New York and died in Lansing, Michigan. He married Irene K. Ernst (b. Kennedy). Ernst was an insurance agent, city recorder, and superintendent. In 1886, he wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order pamphlets.
