Olio S. Findlay (b. Herrington) (1863-1899) was born in Joplin, Missouri, and died in Kansas City, Missouri. She trained to be a stenographer and by 1888 was working for the A. N. Kellogg Newspaper Company. In 1889 she married Alexander P. Findlay and the couple lived in Kansas City. He was a real estate dealer and worked as secretary and treasurer for the Kansas City Realty Company. In 1886 Findlay wrote to Mary Baker Eddy about her chronic health troubles, saying she had been receiving healing treatment from Emma D. Behan and Emma's sister-in-law, Katherine G. Behan, both of whom were Eddy's students. Findlay's husband was a member of the Third Church of Christ, Scientist, in Kansas City and joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on June 11, 1901.
