Etta U. French (later Etta U. Snow) (1862-1904) was a lifelong resident of Manchester, New Hampshire. Etta and her first husband, Joseph, were both students of Mary Baker Eddy's. Together they had Primary class in 1884. After studying with Eddy, French maintained a healing practice in Manchester, New Hampshire, until the passing of her first husband in 1889. There is no record of her joining the Christian Scientist Association or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist). Her poem, "Touching the Hem of His Garment", was published in the February 1884 issue of The Christian Science Journal.
