Salome Knapp Gannett (c.1837-1899) was born in Lyman, New Hampshire, and died in Boston, Massachusetts. She was the sister of Ira O. Knapp, a Christian Science practitioner and teacher who served on the Board of Directors of The First Church of Christ, Scientist. Gannett joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in July 1897.
