Laura J. Goodwin
P00313ALaura J. Goodwin (1854-1945) was born in Merrimac, Massachusetts, and
died in Braintree, Massachusetts. Goodwin (then Laura J. Smith) was a dressmaker and
student of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying with her in the fall of 1881. She joined the
Christian Scientist Association on September 14, 1881, and was an active member,
attending meetings until 1885. Later, in June 1894, she joined The First Church of
Christ, Scientist, and was a member until her passing.
