Edward Green (1834-1905) was born in New York and died in Lacon, Illinois. For many years he owned and operated a bookstore and stationer in Lacon. He became interested in Christian Science in 1884 after buying a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures from a Chicago-based Christian Scientist.
