Tarvin C. Grooms (1835-1920) was a lifelong resident of Greencastle, Indiana. He was a distinguished attorney, regularly representing the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway, also known as the Big Four Railroad. In early 1886, his wife, Nancy J. Grooms, purchased a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
