Sarah A. Harris (1832-1899) was born in Essex, Vermont, and died in San Francisco, California. She became interested in the mind-cure movement in the early 1880s and spent a year on the East Coast studying at various mind-cure institutes. After this, she returned to California where she lectured and taught in the San Francisco area. She was also a member of the Aurora branch of the Theosophical Society, based in Oakland, California. There is no record of her studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
