Francis W. Heinitz (1857-1922) was born in Pennsylvania and died in
Cleveland, Ohio. Over his career he was a laborer, a patternmaker, and a janitor. In the
1880s he lived in several places in Crawford County, Ohio, including Auburn, Tiro, and
Crestline, moving to Cleveland prior to 1900. In 1887 Heinitz wrote to Mary Baker Eddy
to inquire about ordering
Science and Health with Key to the
Scriptures.
