Elizabeth A. Heydon (1826-1886) was born in Norfolk, Virginia, and died
in Washington, D.C. She operated a boarding house in Washington, D.C. Her husband,
Charles W. Heydon, worked as a jeweler and kept a jewelry store under the National
Hotel. Daniel Patterson, Mary Baker Eddy's second husband, boarded at Heydon's right
before being taken prisoner by the Confederate Army in 1862.
