P00949 Calvin C. Hill (1864-1943) was born near Hickory, Pennsylvania, and died
in Boston, Massachusetts. He first heard of Christian Science in about 1892, while
living and working in Denver, Colorado. Later, in 1895, he was healed by Christian
Science treatment through prayer. Hill joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in
Boston, Massachusetts, in July 1897 and he was elected as a First Member of The Mother
Church in February 1901.The following year he went through Normal class of the Board of
Education, also becoming the Superintendent of The Mother Church Sunday School in the
same year. He was a Christian Science practitioner and teacher, listed in the directory
of
The Christian Science Journal from 1899 until his
passing.
