Inez B. Hill (b. Berry) (1852-1919) was born in Maine and died in Long
Beach, California. In 1876 she married Julius D. Hill in Littleton, Colorado. He was a
Civil War veteran, serving as a corporal in the Massachusetts 25th Infantry. After the
war he was a farm laborer and then the owner of the J. D. Hill General Store which,
beginning in the 1890s, also contained a post office where he served as postmaster.
Along with I. S. Mores, he started the Littleton Creamery in 1884 and served as its
president for the rest of his life. He was also one of the organizers of the First
National Bank in Littleton. After her husband's death in 1915, Hill moved to Denver,
Colorado. She spent the last two months of her life with her grandchildren in Long
Beach. In 1886 Hill ordered a copy of
Science and Health with Key to
the Scriptures.
