Minerva A. Hinckley (c. 1834-?) was born in Cobleskill, New York, and
died in an unknown location. After her father's death in 1845, she moved with her mother
and brother to Middlebury Township, Pennsylvania. By 1870 they were living in
Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Hinckley was acquainted with Mary Baker Eddy's students
Eldridge J. and Melinda H. Smith, also of Williamsport. Although Hinckley expressed
interest in studying with Eddy herself, the available records do not reflect that she
did so.
