Sally Holmes (1787-1887) was born in New Ipswich, New Hampshire, and died
            in Belvidere, Illinois. She married Nathanial Holmes, a machinist and manufacturer, in
            New Hampshire in 1809 and was later the widow of William Moore, a Michigan soldier in
            the War of 1812. Upon her death, she was living with her daughter, Augusta Holmes
            Swasey, a school friend of Mary Baker Eddy's, in Belvidere, Illinois.
