W. S. (William Smith) Jennings (1849-1899) was born in Troy, Wisconsin, and died in Gowrie, Iowa. For many years he was a station agent for the Des Moines & Fort Dodge Railroad Co., working in cities across Iowa, including Perry, Des Moines, and Gowrie. There is no record of Jennings studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
