Harriet D. Jones (c.1840-1909) was born in Union, Maine, and died in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, taking the Primary (1882) and Normal (1885) classes. She joined the Christian Scientist Association in December 1882 and The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, in June 1894. Jones was also listed periodically in the directory of The Christian Science Journal as a practitioner and teacher from 1884 until her passing.
