George E. Joscelyne (1856-1923) was born in Stourbridge, England, and died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1877, he married Fannie A. Joscelyne (b. Darby), in Stourbridge. By the 1880s, the family had immigrated to the United States of America, and Joscelyne worked as a real estate agent for the area of Winthrop, Massachusetts. A flyer among the Mary Baker Eddy Papers dates from this period of his employment. By the 1890s, the family had moved to Philadelphia and Joscelyne was working as the manager of the Chestnut Hill Stock Farm. Joscelyne was a member of the Winthrop Lodge of the Knights of Honor.
