Sarah S. Kelting (b. Waddilove) (1840-1940) was born in England and died in Los Angeles, California. She immigrated to the United States in 1862 and in 1865 married Charles Kelting in New York, New York. By 1880 she was widowed and residing in Chicago, Illinois, with her daughter who worked as a stenographer. They moved to Miami, Florida, by 1920, and around 1924 they settled in Los Angeles where Kelting remained until she passed away at age 100. In 1886 Kelting wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order several pamphlets on Christian Science, mentioning that she had benefited from reading Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures and The Christian Science Journal.
