Alfred Lang (1820-1906) was in Mary Baker Eddy's Primary class in January 1883. He was the first Treasurer of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, Boston, Massachusetts, and was Chairman of the National Christian Scientist Association. Eddy also asked him to be one of the four Directors on the Christian Science Board of Directors in 1892, but he declined because of his advanced age.
